Trump did literally nothing for the past two weeks

Philip Bump with the Washington Post compiled a list of all the presidenting Donald Trump did over the past two weeks.

Other than some phone calls with foreign leaders, and a meeting with Members of his cabinet, Trump did no work at all, according to his official schedule, other than three days spent in Europe at the G-20 meeting and a visit to Poland.

Among the things that Trump did over the past two weeks:

Fourth of July concert.
Phone calls with foreign leaders.
Poland and G20.
Cabinet meeting.

Which, as the Post notes, leaves an awful lot of time for TV, Trump’s other passion besides golf.

Trump is sensitive about his TV time, and tweeted in his own defense this morning:

trump tv

If you say so.

Trump knows that the White House is functioning perfectly, because he saw this stated on Fox News. ;)

Woah, hold on a minute. A Republican President is supposed to *do* something? Since when?

Reagan was the Acting President, while Bush I controlled the White House for 12 years.

Bush II was *obviously* not in charge of anything, either. Cheney and Rumsfled made the decisions there.

Now Permanent-Vacation Trump came into office not expecting to have to *DO* anything, either. Why should he? He’s been the Sole Proprietor of Trump Org forever, yet never had to answer to a board of directors. He issues an edict and goes golfing, letting the flunkies figure out how to fulfill his diktat. Why would he expect the Presidency to work any differently?

The whole debate between Democrats and Republicans over one another’s dirty campaign tactics is a silly tempest in a pisspot.

It diverts from the real and urgent struggles for decent wages, the fight against the pauperization imposed by both Democrats and Republicans, the fight to jail racist cops who kill, the fight to end the racsit ‘legal system’. Jails now house the wrong people, mostly poorer working class people victimized by the pauperization that is an increasing feature of capitalism in it’s death agony.

Jails and prisons should be emptied and refilled with cops, landlords, rich people and the political prostitutes who service them, including crooked judges and prosecutors.

Second, we need a series of new federal civil rights amendment guaranteeing socialized medicine, housing and education and one that guarantees the rights of women, the LGBTQ communities, people of color and immigrant workers and provides for harsh penalties and jail time for those who engage in discrimination and other forms of violence.

Now thats Presidenting…He is doing exactly what he is supposed to be doing…The domestic power is in Ryan’s hands (ryan as shadowboxer, trump as figurehead) and Putin runs our foreign policy…A win win for Both of them (TRumps ego Putins Geopolitical aspirations).

And its sockpupperty all the way down from there!
