URGENT: Pence says GOP has Obamacare repeal votes. Contact Congress now.

The Center for American Progress is reporting that Vice President Mike Pence says House Republicans have the votes to repeal Obamacare. We need you to contact the swing votes now in order to stop this disaster.

Use this simple Web site to call, tweet and Facebook the key swing votes in the US House.

The cost of insurance will soar

If the House GOP bill becomes law, the cost of insurance for people with pre-existing conditions will soar, and insurers will be allowed to raise prices by 66% for people aged 50-64. That means many people will no longer be able to afford health care at all.

And while I typically tell people to only contact their own member of Congress, in this case, I don’t think that applies. If you’re not in their district, let them know that you will be donating to throw them out of office in 2018 if they vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. Republican moderates are scared to death of the growing Democratic wave. Fear for their own political survival is the only thing that will convince them to do the right thing.

GOP has exempted itself from the Obamacare repeal

The GOP bill is terrible. You may recall that we found out last week that House Republicans are exempting themselves and their staff from the Obamacare repeal effort. That’s right. They say Obamacare is imploding and the worst thing ever, yet they’re keeping it for themselves.

And they’re not simply gutting protections for pre-existing conditions and raising prices for people over age 50. The GOP bill will also let states opt out of the Affordable Care Act’s guarantee that each and every plan have 10 basic benefits, including maternity, prescription drug, and emergency services. Insurers can drop all of that and more if this bill becomes law.

“Being female” will once again be a pre-existing condition

But that’s not all. Guess what will once again be a pre-existing condition, for which you can be charged more, under the GOP bill? Being a woman. That’s right. Before Obamacare, many insurance companies considered being female a pre-existing condition, and they had the nerve to charge women than men for the exact same policies. The GOP will let that happen again of this bill becomes law.

Use this easy page to call, tweet and Facebook the moderate House votes. Seriously, it’s only a few clicks. It’s the easiest activism you’ll ever do, and you can literally help save lives.

Obamacare and Trumpcare are the same – the let the insurance companies and big pharma run the show. Workers need socialized medicine. The rich can fed for themselves.

I always assumed that meant the person was gay.

He calls his wife Mommy. What’s up with that?

If you are a registered US voter, call your Congressman. Mine is not going to change his vote on this, but it was clear when I called last time that the staff had been getting a lot of calls angry about his intention to vote for the Trumpcare bill. They do notice when they get calls and messages on issues. Polling is one thing but when people care enough to call that’s another matter. Call. Even if your Congressman isn’t a swing voter. They are hearing us.
