O’Reilly replacement makes sexist joke about Ivanka Trump on the air

Fox News host Jesse Watters, whose show was moved into primetime as a replacement for the O’Reilly Factor, after O’Reilly was fired/resigned following repeated sexual harassment allegations, appears to have just made an oral sex joke, on the air, about Ivanka Trump.

On his show, “The Five,” Watters showed a clip of Ivanka Trump speaking in Germany. The clip ends, and Watters notes, “I don’t really get what’s going on here, but I really liked how she was speaking into that microphone.”

Not to put too fine a point on it, but Fox News is reeling from accusations that it is soft on sexual harassment. Then a host that was promoted to replace O’Reilly, who was fired for sexual harassment, takes a serious segment about Ivanka Trump speaking in Europe and turns it into a joke either about Ivanka performing oral sex, or at the very least, about Ivanka’s hot and sultry voice. Either way, it’s sexist as hell.

There’s another problem for Fox News. How it handles this latest outrage from Watters will send a message about whether Fox continues to tolerate a culture of sexual harassment. Their response to Watters will be used against Fox in current and future lawsuits. So this goes way beyond Watters at this point.
