Anti-gay Republican politician outed on gay hookup site. Again.

Recently, Republican pastor/operative/politician [name] acknowledged that they have an account/posted nude photos/solicited sex on [gay hookup site].

[Name], who continues to oppose same-sex marriage and anti-discrimination laws protecting LGBT people, said in the wake of the news that he has asked his family for forgiveness, and asked their community for thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for him.

“How can you discriminate against the person you’re trying to pick up?” said one man, who was sent sexually suggestive messages and unsolicited dick pics by [name] via the site, apparently unaware of the fact that, as long as you loudly support sexual repression in public, the Republican Party is more than willing to condone what you do in private.

Following the story’s release, local Republican officials stood by [name], insisting that their personal life should remain private, and that the story was leaked for political purposes, saying in a statement that “We are deeply saddened to see someone’s private personal life be exposed, by no choice of his own, for what can only appear to be political motivations. His entire life is turned upside down. Our only hope is that this is not some type of political tactic by the opposing party.”

The pastor/operative/politician remains adamant that they do not condone the “homosexual lifestyle,” nor do they support granting LGBT people “special protections” in the law. [Name] looks forward to returning to their position once they have been “cured” of their sinful affliction, which [name] is downplaying as “my little experimentation.

Following the news that [name] is a flaming hypocrite, a host of other anti-gay-but-kinda-gay conservatives came to [name]’s defense. “Public perception becomes more important than the facts,” said one prominent anti-gay pastor, who had himself been found to have solicited gay sex numerous times in previous years despite preaching about the immorality of same-sex relationships.

I suspect eventually, it’ll become a solid wall of URLs.

Something like that. Depends on how high of a profile the person has to have in order to count. Senator/congressman? Maybe a few months. Candidate for local office or small-town pastor? Two weeks max.

I LOVE this post, Jon. Perfection. I can’t wait for the next time it’s recycled. :-) How long do you think it will take? A week or two, perhaps?

  7. Jon Green says:

I figured I’d leave them and save myself the trouble of writing a new post the next time it happens.

    Or the jokes.

As usual, if a Democrat does it he is vile and disgusting, worthy of only contempt. If a Republican does it he is a good person worthy of respect.

    In other words, IOKIYAR.

Another Republican that just has to have his Chick Fil a and eat it.

Insert the name-du-jour. The event remains the same, only the names have been changed to list the perpetrators.

I just enjoy seeing hypocrisy exposed in all it’s glory, for the public to see. The lengths these folks go to, to condemn other groups, somehow seems to get turned back on themselves. But not to worry, we’ll pray it away and forgive, until next time when it rears it’s ugly face again. Because of the Teflon these folks seem to be born with they can, in essence, do no wrong. Their flock will forgive and go along as usual until a new scandal surfaces and then repeat again… Why not just accept the fact that people are born this way and there is nothing wrong with the way one is born.

Did you intend to insert Randall’s actual name in all those [name}s?

Gives new meaning to the phrase “The story writes itself.”

    From the Old Daze File:
“Once is journalism, twice is a lifestyle.”
That saying was attributed to Voltaire but I’m pretty sure it was just a Mattachine Society saying (1950s) with a fancy attribution.

Why do you think Rentboy was raided and all their computers seized? Too many anti-gay big shots in the files — I’m guessing from both sides of the aisle. Members of Congress, Pentagon brass, “consultants,” and lobbyists.

  18. Quilla says:

    Nicely done.
