Daily Show’s Jason Jones’ final report from Russia (video)

Both the Daily Show and Colbert Report did some great reporting from Russia generally, and the Sochi Olympics in particular.

Below is a segment of Jason Jones, of the Daily Show, doing his final report from Russia. It’s hard to explain what it’s about exactly – it’s about a lot of different things, mostly looking at various dissidents, from Pussy Riot to a blogger the government keeps harassing.

Jon Stewart did have a funny opening line, talking about the closing ceremony for the Olympics, where they showed oversized photos of a number of famous Russian writers and artists:

“Of course, their ode to all their really great writers and artists they had shot, imprisoned or exiled.”
