GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham running campaign ads on Benghazi tragedy

Well that didn’t take long.

For anyone still wondering why Republican Senator Lindsay Graham has taken the lead for the GOP, along with John McCain, on trying to exploit the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya two months ago, we now have our answer.

Lindsey Graham is using our dead ambassador for his re-election campaign.

Even Mitt Romney wasn’t this morbidly brazen.

But the evidence is incontrovertible.  Lindsey Graham is running campaign ads about Benghazi.  One such ad was found by Alvin McEwen of Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters on the Talk Points Memo site, and another on Daily Kos (Alvin forwarded them to me):

And when you click on the ad, it takes you to a petition on, the Republican Senator’s campaign site that asks you to “sign the petition if you want answers”:

Oh we’d like answers all right.

Starting with why the Republicans keep treating the deaths of four Americans as if they’ve won the lottery.  Who does Lindsey Graham think he is, Mitt Romney?

I’m sure Ambassador Stevens’ family is happy their son could help the Graham campaign out.

And PS, doofus. It wasn’t “our American embassy in Libya.” (Nice sentence construction, by the way.) It was our “consulate” and a CIA office.  If you’re going to use the deaths of four brave Americans for your own personal gain, at least get the facts straight.

  1. Go to YouTube and watch Sen. Graham make an absolute fool of himself when he publically
admits his ignorance when he states “I Don’t Know What The Islamic Threat Doctrine Is”…..
    why is this important?

  2. geepers says:

Something went on in Benghazi that the Govt is covering up.

  3. Paula Malone says:

Graham is emotionally disturbed, as is McCain. That is the onle explanation.

Miss Lindsay has nothing to say to the world until she comes out of the closet. Until then, everything Miss Lindsay says is misdirection from her not fooling anyone.

Besides, we already know more or less what happened in Benghazi, and investigations continue. I mean, it’s not like the Republicans were cutting the funds for protecting our embassies and consulates or anything…

Hear you loud and clear. My hope is that Governor Lynch will run for the seat in 2016. I think he’d beat her in a landslide.

  11. It’s really too bad that Ayotte wasn’t running this term as NH has seemed to finally found its collective sense this election.

Four more years is more than a long time to live with an ignorant bagger looking for nothing more than national attention.

She is an embarrassment to not only my state, but to the aspersions of women everywhere!

  12. samiinh says:

He and McCain apparently have a new voice to echo their bullshit….NH’s own embarrassment, Kelly Ayotte. She is such a loser and media hog, much like Ms. Graham and Mr. McCain.

  13. A_nonymoose says:

    Shameless bastard, isn’t he?

  14. Poor Miss Lindsey. She has so few other closeted Gummint types to interface with. I think her angst is that she never got to express her full magnitude of feeelings for our fallen hero.

  15. josephebacon says:

His days are numbered. The teabaggers are going to wipe the floor with him in the 2014 primary.

  16. candolf says:

I need to go be sick now. #shame

  17. serge says:

If I’m not mistaken, our primaries in SC are open primaries. I will go vote for the bat-shit craziest mofo who primaries Graham. He’s already scared shitless of this inevitability, hence the histrionics. It will be such fun.
