Chrysler investing and adding more jobs in Michigan

So basically, the fear-mongering by Mitt Romney about Chrysler moving production to China was an even bigger lie than we thought.

Chrysler Group LLC will invest $238 million in two plants in Michigan to boost engine production to meet U.S. demand for smaller, more fuel-efficient engines, the U.S. automaker majority owned by Fiat SpA said on Thursday.

Chrysler is spending $198 million to make by early 2014 its Pentastar V6 engine at the Mack I Engine Plant in Detroit, which now makes a larger engine for the Ram 1500 truck. The automaker is also working on several variants of the 3.6-liter V6 engine, including a smaller 3.2-liter version.

The No. 3 U.S. automaker is also spending $40 million to install a flexible production line — its first ever — at its Trenton North plant in Trenton, Michigan, to build both the V-6 engine and the Tigershark four-cylinder engine.

    Don’t you mean Fiat?

It certainly helps when the worker’s union has a significant stake in the company. It makes everyone most honest and willing to work together for the better of the whole.

    Here is an interesting rant.

sorry for posting twice first post didn’t appear.

    The GOP continue to lie.

I am amazed that the Bengazi thing is so important but they all lined up to give GW some Republican head after he lied his way into two wars. I predict impeachment attempt before the end of the year. Continued muslim, birther attacks and no change in the party. They are bat shit crazy that they could not buy the election, suppress the vote and outright lie for two years and having a black man elected twice there must be a alternate fucking universe. When will these old white assholes die and leave us in peace/

I have got to give it to the Repubs they never stop spinning. There will be no let up on birtherism, bengazi, muslim president. Here is the total fucktard Rohrabacher claiming that Obama never calls anything Terrorism because he doesn’t want anyone to believe in radical terrorism. You must watch this because the right is deranged. A black man twice. I say they will try to impeach before June of next year and the energy and effort will be increased like never before. I also say someone will try to assassinate him believing all the lies and no one calling them on it. Our media is populated by no one with intelligence and the don’t understand their job is to get to the facts not let the right create a reality and give credance to it. In the end the GOP will not change, they may pay lip service and make nice, nice but their hearts will remain as black as the coal they love and frankly the Dems are not a lot better.

Well, anymore, it’s not that Romney lied. It’s that the people already stepping into his footprints are lying and will continue to lie, whenever they think that no one will daylight them as we daylighted Mitzy.

So, that’s why I say that 2014 is not going to be like 2010. It will be the 2014 Presidential Campaign, with the same strength, if not more, of those of us who are dedicated to the goal of putting the GOP/TPer party on the trash heap of history.

Do not close offices, or at the very least, be sure that every bit of resources are gathered together to fight the creeps that think they can lie, cheat and try to make us feel stupid.

I’ve heard they paid well. I was wondering if that was still going on. With the news of Hostess, Walmart, Papa Johns, Applebee’s, McDonald’s, Burger King, etc. It’s good to know about businesses that sincerely care about their line-workers.

Apparently you don’t know the Auto Industry, or you would not be asking that question.

The Auto Industry pays VERY well.

    Cool, thanks!

20 dollars an hour plus benefits, I’ll say pretty liveable.

  14. Drew2u says:

Are those wages going to be liveable wages? Not being snarky, I honestly want to know.

  15. Andy Grey says:

    Thank you President Obama.
    Go Chrysler, go Detroit!

  16. BeccaM says:

Among the many things I will not miss about this past election, Mitt Romney’s constant, intelligence-insulting lying is near the top of the list.

Topping that though is his sociopathic smirk.

  17. Sally says:

No? You mean Mitt lied? Or was it that the media told him to say the wrong thing? Funny how he kept saying it even when Chrysler told him he was lying. True character, that Mitt. Hey, Mitt, the media is not liberal. You lost because you lied. Day after day after day.
