GOP Rep. Steve King: Millions could lose health insurance under TrumpCare, and that’s ok

Republican member of Congress Steve King just told CNN that millions could lose their health insurance under the Republican Obamacare repeal plan — also known as TrumpCare/RyanCare and the Unaffordable Care Act.

King’s admission that millions could lose their coverage was only trumped by his claim that it doesn’t matter if millions lose their coverage.

CNN’s Jim Acosta was asking King about the GOP repeal effort, called “Repeal and Replace.”

CNN’s Jim Acosta: You don’t think people are going to lose health insurance as a result of this “Repeal and Replace” effort? Isn’t there really the possibility that millions of people could loser their health insurance?

GOP Rep. Steve King: There is that possibility. But it seems as though we’re creating that as the metric through which we have to view everything else.

He said it.

So, as per Steve King’s admission, were Trumpcare to pass both houses and go to President POS’s desk and he signed it into law , everything he told his supporters during the campaign about no one losing their insurance and better coverage for less would have been a cynical lie. Yeah. That sounds about right.

  3. Bill_Perdue says:

Trumpcare, Obamacare, Heritagecare and earlier versions like Clintoncare share a common and decisive characteristic – they encourage insurance and pharmaceutical companies to deny good health care by leeching profits out of the health care system.

    Profit is theft.

Workers need socialized medicine – the rich can fed for themselves.

King has been a government tit sucker since birth, like Grassley, Ernst and Branstad.

I LIKE seeing this ass on television. He is a bold Republican from an absolutely safe district so he’ll say what Republicans actually believe and he proves that the entire Republican Party is a pack of nasty assholes.

Sadly, half the voters line up and vote for trash like King – but at least I know they aware of the fact they are voting to wreck everything.

The only thing that would surprise me about Steve King would be finding out he DOESN’T have a deep personal relationship with Jesus. Why does CNN, or any other news organization continue to interview this bat crap crazy man?

Exactly so, Demosthenes. This is how they all think.

  11. Marcus says:

Why do you think that the House is passing a bill to allow companies to get employees genetic information? Only the genetically superior will get jobs….

He should be commended for saying the truth: many millions will love health insurance under TrumpNoCare. Rep. King is the vivid demonstration of the Trump GOP “ID” without the filter of actual intelligence and faux empathy. The reality is the Trump GOP don’t care. All that matters are tax cuts for the rich.

Yeah, sir, you can take that metric and shove it.

perfectly silly to be so glib and dismissive. If it were anyone else, I would accuse them of a villainous indifference, but because it is Mr. King, and because there is a real cavalcade of silly things he’s said in the past, I can only assume he’s being monumentally tone-deaf and oafish. All the same, I have no problem pinning the quote right on his forehead, to be owned by him and the rest of the current regime.
