Marco Rubio’s new “Morning again in America” ad shows Vancouver, Canada

Marco Rubio is up with a new ad. It is quite depressing, yet rather hilarious as well. Check it out:

The ad’s doom and gloom isn’t what makes it interesting. As the Vancouver Sun pointed out this morning, the footage shown at the beginning of the ad — when the narrator says that “It’s morning again in America”  — is “unmistakably Vancouver.” As in Vancouver, Canada.

As they write, “The Florida senator’s latest campaign ad, titled Morning Again in America, opens with three seconds of beautiful stock footage featuring our skyline and harbour.”

In case the skyline wasn’t a clear enough indication that the footage is a patriotic homage to a foreign country, the tugboat shown chugging along in front of the Vancouver skyline is flying the red maple leaf Canadian flag (near the back of the boat).

I guess it’s morning in Canada, too!
