Brits furious over Hillary’s “misappropriation” of English language

London has recalled its ambassador to Washington over Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s “cultural misappropriation” of the English language.

“Her Majesty has simply had enough of America’s embrace of all things British,” Prime Minister David Cameron said earlier today in a fiery Boxing Day speech denouncing the Democratic frontrunner.

“It’s bad enough the Yanks stole the colonies and nearly got Canada too, but Hillary’s campaign Web site is now posting stories in ‘English,’ ” Cameron added with air quotes. “It’s really the last crumpet.”

This latest imbroglio comes on the heels of another language controversy engulfing the Democratic frontrunner. Earlier this week, Clinton’s campaign Web site HillaryClinton.com published a blog post centered around the word “abuela” — Spanish for grandmother. The Spanish government, along with the governments of Venezuela and Cuba, accused Mrs. Clinton of misappropriating the Spanish culture, and worse, attempting to court the Latino vote.

“It’s offensive that Secretary Clinton is making a special attempt to reach out to Hispanic voters,” said Cuban President Raúl Castro. “How dare she treat Latinos as a welcome partner in the American dream?”

Prime Minister Cameron took particular offensive at Sec. Clinton's use of the term "pants suit."

Republican party chair Reince Priebus concurred, warning that candidate Clinton was opening a veritable Pandora’s box of electoral troubles.

“Sure, now it’s Americans of Latino origin,” Priebus told ABC’s This Week. “But what’s to stop Hillary from embracing African-Americans, women, gays and even, God forbid, immigrants? If Hillary has her way, there won’t be any voters left to disenfranchise.”
