BREAKING: Conservative GOP House Majority Leader Eric Cantor loses primary to Tea Partyer

Huge news.

According to the AP, Republican US House of Representatives Majority Leader, the number two Republican in the House, uber-conservative Eric Cantor, from Virginia, just lost his primary race to a Tea Partyer, Dave Brat.

From AP:

This is huge news, as Cantor is, as the saying goes, to the right of Atilla.

Team Cantor is reportedly starting to freak out. Politico reporter Jake Sherman is at Cantor election HQ:

eric-cantor-resultsCantor is conservative.  If he’s too liberal for the modern Republican party, then the party is doomed, as may be the country.
