6 of the hardest ballet moves, in slo-mo

The Washingtont went to the Washington Ballet and asked six dancers to do their most difficult move.

Here is Francesco Dugarte:

Even neater, they slowed the video down in parts so you could really appreciate the beauty of it. Here is Andile Ndlovu.

It’s a neat, and beautiful, video. Nice way to start the day.

I too have been moved to tears by dance performances. I don’t know anything really about dance as an art form, except that it is so emotionally visceral and compelling.

Probably no one will be surprised that I admire the male form, and several years ago Matthew Bourne’s “Swan Lake” was in Minneapolis. The cast is almost entirely male, and they are amazing athlete’s. They have the bodies of athletes, too. The combination of the music, the story line, the dance, the athletic movements, and the beautiful men was almost too much. It was too much for my husband. He started to cry.

I remember as a kid when dad was watching football, they would show things in slow motion to reveal the “beauty and grace” of the game. Ballet dancers reveal beauty and grace in real time, I don’t get the slow motion in this video, it is much more impressive in real time.
