US Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy saves puppies in Sochi

US Olympic skier, and silver medalist, Gus Kenworthy ran into some stray puppies in Sochi, Russia, on Tuedsay, and fell in love.

(When our dog had puppies when were kids – yes, one did such things in 1970 – she would kill anyone trying to get near them, unless you were family).

These are photos he posted on Facebook and Twitter:

Gus reported yesterday that he’s lined up kennels and vaccinations for the puppies, and hopes to bring some of them back to the states with him, if he can.
