View to a Kill, by Duran Duran (video) – and an open thread

A friend and I were discussing Duran Duran today. He wasn’t terribly familiar with their music, I really like them. I’ve always felt their music was underappreciated.

He sent me the View to a Kill video, though I’d probably choose Rio or any of a number others from that album.

There but for the grace of God, go I.

And let’s not even talk about the clothes and the hair! Let’s just say I’m lucky I went to study in Paris in 1983-84, instead of London, or I suspect there would have been some interesting fashion choices involving the color of my hair, among other things :)
