Undercity: A beautiful documentary shot undernearth NYC

What a neat video. A guy and his friend shoot a documentary video of the underbelly of New York City, from going inside the subway tunnels, to going down sewers and meeting the inhabitants, and more.

The video is about half an hour long, but it will suck you in. The lead guy is a charmer, and fascinating in his own right. Even just watch a few minutes, you won’t be disappointed.

The underground exploring is only part of the story. I’ve met one of the guys in the video (the one at the end with the mohawk), and the urban exploring isn’t just about the underground tunnels. It also includes getting access to part of the city’s bridges that are normally reserved for service staff. If you haven’t checked it out yet, take a couple of minutes. It’s worth it.

That Art Deco station was worth the whole trip, but I really enjoyed it!

That will be a great place to imprison the bankers who perpetrated fraud and treason on this nation.

I was bored by this as well. But then, I had done things like this for years in my hitchhiking days. I’ll give him credit. It was far easier before 9/11.
And being a burrowing, climbing, clambering mole in the city where that cataclysmic event started sure takes guts, all those eyes ready to pounce.
