Greenpeace brilliantly interrupts Shell’s Grand Prix finale (video)

Beyond brilliant. Greenpeace snuck two remote controlled protest signs into the winner’s podium at the Grand Prix finals, which are sponsored by Shell oil.

The signs lay dormant for two weeks, until the winners took to the dais, and then slowly one rose up in front of everyone.  Then, someone tries to take it down, and as he walks away, another rises up…. LOL

Freaking brilliant.

Well, seeing as I found this article on Google News, they can’t really be trying too hard suppress it. Not that Google isn’t a gigantic corporation that is basically built on gathering, storing, analyzing, and selling/trading everyone’s data, but can you imagine the outcry if they just banned a certain video from YouTube arbitrarily? If it is still taken down, it’s probably because of a copyright claim, although I’m not sure if that would apply to all the people filming in the crowd as well. Either way, they certainly can’t stop people from reporting on it and discussing it on YouTube.

Banned from YouTube, a Google subsidiary of the CIA. Oh, I see how that works. What a nifty organizational chart.

They hung a much larger banner above the stands.

P.S. — I have no idea how I ended up getting the same photo three times and I don’t know how to fix it?

  • Thom Allen

They should have covered the antennas in oil (olive). Then the officious prick would have had more trouble removing them.
