Two men re-enact the real dialogue of a 2 y.o. negotiating for “one more cookie”

A wonderful video of a father re-enacting the actual negotiation he had with his daughter over her desire for “just one more cookie.” Except that the daughter’s dialogue is being recited by another grown man.

It’s brilliant.

I was helping a friend tend to her toddler godchild and gave her a cookie. Her face was beaming as she held it up. She then looked at her empty hand and held it out to me and said, “Nudder one.” I gave her the 2nd cookie and she started rocking back and forth with a cookie in each hand singing, “Cooookie, cooookie…” Now when anyone wants a 2nd cookie, I tell them they have to do the “cookie dance” first.

LOL! That’s sort of what I was thinking.
Betcha didn’t know, when you made this cute post, that you were also posting a metaphor for all the governmental big business bailouts! ;-)

  • Young Carly Fiorina.

  • Got this from our 3 daughters in the ’80’s. Now getting it from my 2-yo granddaughter. WAY cuter and more fun coming from grandbaby ;-) The “grown man” did a MOST excellent job. Thanks for this! Politics are particularly crappy to read about lately. I prefer interacting with brilliant 2-year-olds.

Man, this kid sure has her father all figured out! And it worked! LOL!
She’ll no doubt wind up as the CEO of a huge financial institution, getting the government to shovel money at her company as needed to bail it out. ;-)

The other two episodes in that series are also pretty funny. Love at the end when the mom lays down the law from the other room, too late.

Thanks for this, John. I was having a pretty crappy day, it has now been vastly improved. Love the “cameo” by Coco at the end; she’s precious! Note to self; never negotiate with a two-year old. They are smarter than we are.

Yeah, I get “the paw” from my dog. And then the eyes.

  • S1AMER

This is the sort of stuff that makes the internet worthwhile.

  • OH yeah. Kids and dogs are the best negotiators.

  • Pretty good negotiating skills, actually!
