The Grand Canyon was one of the most spiritual places I have ever visited. Not in a pie in the sky way but in a deep Earthy way that I have no words to explain. Great pic John

  • I didn’t have that preconception, but I can appreciate it. Yeah, it’s pretty wonderful.

  • We get lightning like that here in New Mexico, too. It’s awesome to watch.

That is, when it actually rains… Been a looooong time since the last good storms.

  • Amen. Similar reaction here when my wife and I visited about ten years ago. “Not sure why we’re going… but I guess it’s the tourist-y thing to do, and everybody says it’s something to see…prolly gonna get heatstroke… Okay, here we are… (long pause) Oh. My. God. Where’s my camera?”

Here’s a gallery of just a few of the photos I took back then.

Go to the link in the story and click on the picture I got a 2048×1258 version there.

  • On the way to the Grand Canyon I kept thinking, why am I being dragged to a friggin’ hole in the ground? I went away in awe and couldn’t wait to go back. It is one place you really don’t want to miss seeing.

Apparently, God is pissed off at Arizona for allowing gay marriage. Oh, wait a minute….

  • I hope the photographer uploads a higher resolution image, for that picture is awesome!
