Stephen Colbert on the NRA convention & gun nut bullet conspiracy theories

Stephen Colbert weighs in on the NRA’s wacky convention and the latest gun-nut conspiracy theory.  You see, the Department of Homeland Security is buying a lot of ammunition just in case American society collapses and Homeland Security wants to execute us all.

A friend recently wrote me on Facebook and asked if it didn’t seem as if the gun-nuts were getting awfully close to advocating sedition.  I think he’s right.  There’s far too much talk from the “Second Amendment” types about needing their guns to fight some imminent war, probably against the US government.

If these guys were brown, they’d be arrested and flown to Gitmo.

Now, delete your posts. They are, like your intolerance and lack of asking a question first, irrelevant.

Paul is a hair splitter and wears a button constantly:

“While you are talking I am silently correcting your grammar.”

  • UncleBucky

Oh, silly goose. I am quoting what the NRA/Bagguers are saying, not what I truly want. Meh.

  • Naja pallida

How did you know about my Friday night plans?

  • pppfffttt I’ve got a little list of society offenders who never would be missed, who never would be missed.

  • We could get the Orkin man to do in Ann Coulter.

  • “you all would like nothing more than to label any outspoken conservatives as terrorists and jail them,” Hadn’t thought of that. GOOD IDEA, thanks

  • Just an elbow

    Hookers and canned frosting!

My reading comprehension is fine. Let me break it down for you:

“And there’s more.” – As in more quotes (from individuals) that verify his hypothesis on every conservative, referring to the post above his own.

“I would like to see calls to insurrection or violence coordinated with subsequent attacks and murders.” – He wants to see calls to insurrection or violence coordinated with subsequent attacks and murders. (So he can hang conservatives high and dry.)

“Not that time is a causative link, but that we can see the arrows going in the same direction.” – Not that the time frame (referring to the word(s) subsequent and/or coordinated from his previous sentence) really matters, as we can see the writing on the wall already.

If old Bucky here can’t construct a sentence correctly, or leaves out words, or uses the wrong words, that is one thing, but it still has nothing to do with my reading comprehension. I can’t imagine how dull you must be if that is your response to my post.

  • Your reading comprehension is abysmal. Bucky is not calling for violence. He wants the violence already advocated by right-wing types like you to be dragged out into the light. (Reminds me, is Orcinus still around? He was highly interest in tracking domestic terrorism.)

  • Paul

You’re straight up sick. Why would you want to see that? What is wrong with you?

  • Paul

You liberals are so incredibly horny for conservative or libertarian violence its sickening. After the Boston attacks, liberals were salivating at the mouth dreaming of the possibility that it might be a white Republican.

The comments on here (and Obama’s DHS/Military policies) tell me that you all would like nothing more than to label any outspoken conservatives as terrorists and jail them, effectively snuffing out any opposition to your ideal America. And you wonder why conservatives are so against any new gun laws. All one has to do is listen to your rhetoric to understand why the Second Amendment is more important than ever.

  • I laughed so hard at the tinfoil hat on the shitting bat.

  • UncleBucky

And there’s more. I would like to see calls to insurrection or violence coordinated with subsequent attacks and murders. Not that time is a causative link, but that we can see the arrows going in the same direction. Thx.

    I agree Uncle,how about these for starters;

“A great deal of good could be done by arresting Bill Keller having him lined up against the wall and shot.” Melanie Morgan

“We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed too.” Ann Coulter

As with Cindy Sheehan the best thing that could happen to you would be seeing some WONDERFUL activist sticking an AK-47 up your Glory Holes and sending you into eternity. “Sock” Sokolowki to Stephanie Miller

    and finally;

“You people are utterly useless to humanity and wholly better off dead, burning in eternal damnation.

Ya know, I think it’s too bad that we can’t follow Saddam’s model of dealing with opposition – just open up mass graves and start torturing, maiming, and murdering liberals and leftists by the millions – toss them into the ground, and fill the holes up with dirt. I would love to volunteer for such duty!” J.Baker Phoenix
And who knows,he might just get the call

  • But, the bullet-heads at the NRA are patriots!

  • Butbutbut I though that America needed to be defended from the invading Mooslim hordes who HATE ARE FREEDOM. How is the country and the Department of Fatherland Security supposed to do that without bullets? Or is all the protection we need against the brown devil worshippers to be provided by a rag-tag bunch of doughy Republicans with rifles bought off the Internet?

  • UncleBucky

Seems that way to me, too.

So what collection of verifiable quotes/videos/audios do we need to constitute sufficient evidence of sedition, treason or armed insurrection against the US Government?

Time to start collecting it. Critical mass is coming….

  • “the gun-nuts were getting awfully close to advocating sedition.” They are. The new president of the NRA said as much, advocating armed resistance to the Federal government. The leadership of the NRA is a terrorist militia and should be called short by the FBI.The NRA has morphed from a gun safety club to a clear and present danger to the US government and its citizens.
