Craig Ferguson goes to Scotland with Mila Kunis (video)

Craig Ferguson goes to Scotland with Mila Kunis. I’m really starting to like Mila Kunis. We’d posted an earlier interview with Kunis and an English kid was just beside himself meeting her.

I’ve been to Edinburgh, and loved it (this video is from Glasgow). You don’t hear a lot about Scotland as a tourist destination – it’s not an A-list destination in Europe for Americans. And it’s too bad. Edinburgh is gorgeous. And the people are nice, though they don’t have as fun an accent as the rest of the Scots.

My friend Bill studied abroad in Scotland. I forget where, but it was somewhere with a horrendously wonderful accent. I can’t imagine doing that for a year – imagine the accent you’d come home with. :)

Maybe some day…

If she’d done scenes with the Hasselhoff drunk puppet she’d be even cooler

I was visiting a friend in a small town in the Border Regions (Robert Burns’ country) and some of his friends stopped by more than once to listen to me talk. This was before there was so much international programming, satellite, and Internet. And they just weren’t used to an American’s speech.

They thought I spoke fast, or as they put it, “Sixteen to the dozen”. I love that phrase, but I don’t get to use it much because Americans aren’t as figurative with their speech as the Scots and British, so I usually just get a blank stare in return.

    Cool place.

My wife and I had our honeymoon in Scotland (she’s Scottish so it was a no brainer to visit the motherland). It was absolutely lovely. You can have large European metropolitan experiences in Edinburgh and Glasgow or pastoral quietude on the Isle of Skye. Oh, and there Uisce. Yes, definately Uisce!

Oh, I am so looking forward to visiting Scotland! We have never been there.
Next year, assuming that the funding is still available, my brother is supposed to take a sabbatical in Scotland, and will take his wife and kids. We intend to visit them while they are there.

It’s difficult not to like someone who did a scene with David Hasselhoff
