All-star ensemble: Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations”

This will be the last of our forays into the 2001 Tribute Concert to Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys.

Other entries included “Surfer Girl” sung by Paul Simon and “In My Room” sung by Carly Simon and friends, not to mention the Beach Boys’ own performance of “Heroes and Villains“.

From the YouTube description:

Good Vibrations performed by Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Jubilant Sykes and The Boys Choir of Harlem. A Tribute to Brian Wilson filmed at Radio City Music Hall March 29, 2001.

The live performance starts at 4:55. As the introduction indicates, George Martin is the legendary producer and arranger of much of the Beatles’ best work. Not nobody. The intro is a nice piece of documentary in its own right.

GREAT Performance. And George Martin, besides being a superb producer, turns out to be an articulate and gracious gentleman.
