Does anyone else remember the cup flipper at Casa de Fruta?

No, what is it?

I found a clip of him on youtube. I had no idea he had been on David Letterman. I remember seeing him when I was little. We would stop at Casa de Fruta (a truck stop in California) when we were on road trips.

I wonder if that pastor would tip him 18% or just stiff him.

Waaaaay back in my waitressing days, I thought I’d see if I could carry four meal plates all at once. Didn’t spill them, got them to where they were going safely, then decided, “This is ridiculous. I’m using a tray in the future, and multiple trips if that’s what it takes.” ;-)

So true, but I think it’s about the element of showmanship more than efficiency.

It’s a little off-topic but, if anyone’s coming to LA and coming to Hollywood and Highland (the subway–”Red Line”–goes there), I recommend a short walk to La Brea between Hollywood Blvd and Sunset to Mashti Malone’s Ice Cream place…iranian ex-pat…google it for the story. Your just not gonna find this kind of ice cream anywhere else in the USA.

Will do! FYI, we have Tehrangeles on Westwood near UCLA. Lots of great Persian joints there.

The best I’ve done was slip from trying to sit on an ottoman and not spilling a drop – rum and coke or a vodka slushie, can’t remember.

I’m lucky if I can get from the counter to the table with one.;]
