You will be a better human being for having watched this video.
I promise.
About a minute in to the video, the puppy really goes to town. He’s not going to finish until he gets on that treadmill and doesn’t get thrown off. The amazing thing is that I was expecting to see some guy throwing his poor puppy on a treadmill. Oh no. This little guy is demanding to get on. It’s actually kind of amazing, his perseverance.

That treadmill is too short; the dog is pacing. Not good for him over time. :-(

Puppy wants to be like Dad and join him on the treadmill, and has social support from the other dogs. I like his partial solution at the 3:00 minute mark with the single paw.
I know how he feels, story of my life.

I so ID with that baby pit bull.

Cute – but take your dogs for a walk instead.

Nope, I don’t like anything about this video. The puppy could have been injured if it had gotten a paw caught under the far end of the treadmill. The adult dog is chained to the machine. What was the point?

That was awesome!!

Why is the adult dog chained to the treadmill? That seems cruel.

Show dogs are often exercised on dog treadmills, shorter slower versions of human treadmills. You can tell the dog on it is not unhappy, even the puppy wants to join in.
I do agree there is an element of danger with the smaller paw possibly being trapped, I would urge the manufacturer to include some sort of guard or lip that curls over the edge just in case.. The dogs not on the treadmill seem very anxious about the puppy being so close to it. Maybe they know something the video person does not.

Looks like a breakaway collar to me. Many dogs have been trained to walk straighter and more steadily while on the lease. So it could actually be the safest way to do this — put him on a lease with a breakaway collar.
