She’d be cute if she hadn’t done that to her face

That Duck must be an existentialist and her friend is sad because she just finished Simone de Beauvoir’s novel.

Why is it sad. I think it’s cute. And are they sure she wasn’t speaking Catalan. That can sound a lot like French to those unfamiliar with it — and is more likely. The train announcements were in Catalan.

The duck looks kind of sad too.
Naja pallida
You’d probably look kind of sad too if you were zipped up to your neck in a bag and then rubbed to keep quiet. :)

It has been years, but I remember well.

The duck doesn’t seem distressed at all. It’s making a happy-quack.

Maybe she likes her duck really, really fresh and is planning on taking it home, killing it, plucking it, cooking it, and eating it.
Oh, who the hell knows? I met someone last summer at a party, who brought along their pet duck. (It was an outdoor party.) They brought along their duck’s small plastic swimming pool, too.

What kind of parties do you go to?
Zorba
It was a party during the afternoon, and the couple who gave the party live on a farm, with several horses and a number of cats. A few people brought their dogs, so I guess it wasn’t too strange that someone would bring their duck, too. ;-)

If Ducks are anything like Geese, I hope they were wearing party Depends. :)
Zorba
LOL! They sort of corralled the duck in one area, with its little pool. It wasn’t really wandering around the whole large yard. Although the dogs were. :-)
Write to [email protected] with your pet's photo, name and breed, your name and where you live (if you don't mind them being published), and tell us something about your pet (goofy, touching, whatever you like), and we'll include it in our Readers' Pets archive and we might just write a post about it too! Make sure to put "pet" in the subject line.
