SNL’s Mitt Romney (video)

Saturday Night Live did a great job “interviewing” their version of Mitt Romney on Weekend Update this past Saturday. Video is below, here’s my favorite part:

SETH MEYERS: So you wouldn’t get rid of FEMA?

SNL ROMNEY: Aw, aw, it hurts my feelings that you would think that, Seth, it really does, okay?  Because if there’s anything people should know about Mitt Romney at this point, it’s that nothing I’ve said in the past should be any indication of my positions in the future.  In short, if I’m elected president, I can promise you one thing: I will promise you everything.

        Damn, I was going to try to go today for early voting, but usually the lines aren’t too bad around here on election day.

          Early voting is super-convenient here in New Mexico, and enough offices are open for so many days, encountering long lines isn’t common at all. My wife and I actually voted last Wednesday.

            We have an abomination for a governor right now in Florida, Rick Scott. His allies in the Florida legislature cut early voting in half (from two weeks down to one week). He’s refusing to extend voting hours and days to accommodate the very long lines. Even Jeb Bush extended voting hours and days when he was the Republican governor of Florida. Rick Scott wins the 2012 award for enemy of democracy. I’m sure voters will kick him out in 2014.
