RNC tweets song called “Big Sandy,” about dying

The Deputy Communications Director of the Republican National Committee, the GOP headquarters, today tweeted a song named “Big Sandy,” that includes the refrain:

I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy before I die.

Since a lot of people are finding Big Sandy and dying, I guess I’m just not appreciating the joke at the moment.

Here’s the RNC staffer and what he tweeted, followed by the song:

Here are the lyrics:

Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy before I die

Well, Sandy she’s my woman
She’s so long and tall
Well, if I don’t find that woman
Well, I won’t find one at all
Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy before I die

Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy
Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy
Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy before I die

Well, I bought her lotsa furs
And a big long Cadillac
Well, then she went a-steppin’
Well, as soon as I turned my back
Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy before I die

Well, I’m gonna find that woman
The one that stole my heart
Well, if I don’t find that woman
Well, I’ll tear this town apart
Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy before I die

Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy
Well, I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy
I’m gonna find Big Sandy before I die
