Wow. Quite a moving little video, for six minutes. It’s about Joseph, a 16 year old boy from Oak Ridge, Tennessee who almost killed himself after being bullied for being gay. The entire video is simply him speaking. Try making it through the entire six minutes without tearing up. The first half is cute. The second half rips your heart out.
It’s an incredible reminder that in spite of the recent amazing advances in our civil rights over the past few years, a lot of this isn’t trickling down to the kids nearly, and fast, enough.
