Joan Armatrading – Willow Sight and Sound

It’s another chilly morning but plenty of sunshine. Yesterday was my first “cold” ride of the year which is never something that I look forward to. Adding to the fun on my ride were wind gusts that nearly blew me off the path into the Seine, which was full of white caps. Even better, while evading the dug up bike path back into Paris I shredded a relatively new tire on glass, making it a $50 piece of worthless rubber.

Fingers crossed for a better day today as I make my final ride of the year with my cycling partner who is about to depart for Miami where the winter is much more pleasant. Ah to be retired.

One final note is that our friend Joe Sudbay is running the Marine Corps Marathon today, so give him a shout of encouragement on Twitter today. He’s been training for months and is looking forward to the big day.
