The original song is by a young boy in the Netherlands who wrote it about his two dads. It’s a great song. The second one is American spin-off about a little girl with two dads. They’ll be voting on marriage equality in Washington state, Maryland, Minnesota and Maine on election day, so this song is meant to raise awareness around the topic of marriage equality before vote in those states.
First the Dutch version. I still get chills watching this. It’s amazing this is on TV at all, let alone all the other kids singling along. Just amazing. Of course, it’s not America, is it.
