Nigerian Senate passes bill banning gay everything

Pathetic. From the Washington Post:

… “Such elements in society should be killed,” said Sen. Baba-Ahmed Yusuf Datti … Other additions to the bill include making it illegal to register gay clubs or organizations, as well as criminalizing the “public show of same-sex amorous relationships directly or indirectly.” Those who violate those laws would face 10 years imprisonment as well. …

It’s sad. In some ways, how is what they’re doing any different than what any of the GOP presidential candidates wants to do, or would do if given the chance?  More on that in my next post.
