Possible GOP prez candidate Buddy Roemer is okay with gay marriage
Fascinating. And while Roemer’s “some of my best extended relatives are gay” comments are bit odd, even they are indicative of a Republican party that is desperate not to come off as anti-gay. We saw Boehner’s recent comments on DOMA, and even Rick “Man-Dog” Santorum’s comments. They’re all backing off from the anti-gay. And several other GOP presidential candidates couldn’t be bothered to comment on the recent DOMA news at all.
It’s a clear shift in the culture wars. Now to figure out what caused it.
