Police holding Lt. Dan Choi and Capt. James Pietrangelo in jail overnight

It sounds a bit odd at first blush. Usually when you get arrested for civil disobedience they arrest you, you pay bail, you’re out. Kerry Eleveld at the Advocate just tweeted:

Police Spokes says Choi/Pietrangelo will be held overnight and appear tomorrow in DC superior court.

The two were arrested for handcuffing themselves to the White House earlier today to protest the President’s indecision on whether to move ahead with the repeal of DADT this year.
