McCain supporter does ad for Obama

Ouch for McCain. Obama came out with some campaign ads today that are quite nice. In the first, entitled “Carry,” two Illinois state politicians praise Obama. The first is Republican state Senator Kirk Dillard.

Dillard has the following to say about Obama in the new ad:

“His negotiation skills and an ability to understand both sides would serve the country very well.”

That’s sweet, except that John McCain was bragging about Dillard’s support for HIS presidential run only three months ago in a press release still on his campaign Web site:

Rats fleeing the McCain ship of state?

UPDATE: The McCain campaign is now saying that Dillard is still their boy. Well, someone is clearly hedging his bets.
